Very often you may see an issue where your crossbow strings are fuzzy or are fraying out well before they should be. You may also see that the strings have been slightly cut on your crossbow. If you see this, take a very thin coating of wax and add it to the string and or the cables and then rub the string and cables between your fingers to make it more hot and help to melt the wax into the string if it has begun to get fuzzy.
To prevent the fuzz and cutting, be sure that you keep your Excalibur crossbows string well waxed and do it on a regular basis. Never use your crossbow if the cables are cut or frayed beyond what is safe to work with. The cable snapping can cause a serious injury to you. Replace the cables yourself orhave them replaced so that you can operate your crossbow in safety every time.
